Nicole Rockefeller (Rocky)

Tattoo Artist

Nicole Rockefeller’s (Known by clients & Friends as Rocky... like Balboa) path into tattooing started in a pretty unique place. Before picking up a tattoo machine, she spent eight years managing a movie theater projection booth, hand-painting upcoming attractions across the front windows. It was during that time someone suggested she try tattooing. One session was all it took. The buzz of the machine stuck with her, showing up in her thoughts, even in her dreams. That same year, she left the theater behind and fully committed to tattooing, and she hasn’t looked back since.

With 13 years of experience, Nicole specializes in American traditional and fine-line illustrative work. She loves creating bold, classic traditional pieces as well as delicate floral designs, giving her a versatile range that fits a wide variety of clients and ideas. Whether it’s a walk-in request or a custom piece, she approaches every tattoo with intention and care.

Nicole is known for her calm, understanding nature and her honesty with clients. She takes pride in making sure every person feels heard, comfortable, and confident throughout the entire process. If a design would be better suited for another artist, she will always point clients in the right direction to ensure they get the best possible result.

Outside of tattooing, Nicole still has a deep love for movies. She enjoys diving into the technical side of filmmaking and learning all the details and trivia behind every film she watches. She also creates watercolor paintings and mirror engravings, continuing to explore her creativity beyond the tattoo chair.

Her favorite tattoo is a simple but meaningful one. A rose on her right hand in honor of her mother.
