MARIO GUERRERO

Tattoo Artist

Mario Guerrero’s journey into tattooing started with a bold trade, he swapped his laptop for a tattoo machine at just 15 years old. From there, he practiced on pig skin, tattooed himself, and then his high school friends. By the time he walked into a local tattoo shop, he was hired on the spot, and he’s been at it ever since.

Tattooing professionally since 2011, Mario is self-taught with a relentless passion for realism. His specialties include black and grey portraits, full-color realism, and neo-traditional work, but what he’s really known for is taking on the kind of cover-up tattoos most artists won’t touch. Clients and even other artists trust him to fix what others can’t, and he thrives on the challenge.

Portraits are his favorite, especially pet portraits, but Mario will never say no to a badass skull tattoo. His vibe is upbeat and fun, filled with talk about movies, cars, and whatever else sparks a good laugh. But once the machine’s buzzing, it’s all business. He’s serious about delivering clean, lasting tattoos that hold up over time.

Outside the shop, Mario is a full-blown gearhead. He drag races his two Mustangs and still gets his hands dirty in the garage. He’s also an oil painter, often heading into the mountains to capture landscapes plein air style.
