Angie Ruiz (Hei Hei Ink)
Tattoo Artist / Body Piercer
Angie Ruiz brings vibrant energy and a strong sense of artistic individuality to every tattoo she creates. Her journey began with a dual apprenticeship in both tattooing and piercing at Old Traditions Tattoo Parlor, where she quickly found her passion in creating bold, colorful designs that reflect both her personality and her clients’ stories.
With four years of tattooing experience, Angie has developed a style rooted in traditional techniques and bold color work. She especially enjoys tattooing Neo-traditional pieces, animals, floral, and skulls, anything that let's her mix bright tones with powerful symbolism. While she avoids portrait work for now, she’s always expanding her skills and open to challenging new ideas that fit her style.
To Angie, tattoos are more than just images, they're unique expressions of each artist’s perspective. Whether it’s matching tattoos for a grieving family or a custom design filled with personal meaning, she approaches each piece with care and respect. Clients can expect a professional, welcoming environment where they're encouraged to be themselves and stay involved in the process every step of the way.
Outside the studio, Angie loves spending time with her dogs, exploring local artist markets, and learning new creative crafts like leather-work. She’s currently diving into oil painting and color pencil illustrations, always looking for ways to evolve as an artist.
